Mnemo is designed to help you build a private memory archive instead of scattering fragments of life across too many places.
First run
Start simple: capture a few meaningful fragments, attach context, and use recall surfaces early so Mnemo becomes useful as memory, not just storage.
Today
What to expect
- Start with a private archive on your device and add cloud continuity only if you want it.
- Capture writing, photos, voice, links, files, places, and reminders as one connected archive.
- Use search, timeline, media, map, or calendar early so recall becomes part of the habit.
First actions
Recommended sequence
- Choose local-only or sign in if you want continuity across devices.
- Capture a first fragment such as a photo, voice note, saved link, or written thought.
- Add folders, tags, place, time, or reminders so the fragment stays meaningful later.
What to expect today
Mnemo is built around a private archive first, with continuity available on top.
- You can start using Mnemo without waiting for any cloud setup.
- You can add a cloud account if you want continuity, recovery, and cross-device access.
- Your archive still keeps its local-first posture even when continuity is enabled.
- Capture and recall already work together; continuity is an optional extension, not a separate product.
Some browser-based environments still need more careful expectations than native local use. That matters mainly when you depend on continuity across devices.
First steps
1. Choose your archive path
Start with the in-app onboarding available in your build. You can stay local-only or sign in if you want continuity across devices. The goal is the same in both cases: create a private place where memory stays connected.
2. Save your first meaningful fragment
Use Mnemo to save something you are likely to want back later, for example:
- a short written thought
- a photo
- a voice note
- a saved link
- a document or file
3. Add structure
As you capture, attach the context that will make recall easier:
- folders
- tags
- place and time metadata
- reminders
- references between entries
4. Revisit what you saved
Mnemo is meant to be revisited, not only filled up. Use the available recall surfaces such as:
- timeline
- search
- map
- calendar
- media views
5. Decide when continuity matters
If you want another device to pick up where you left off, enable cloud continuity and treat it as an added layer on top of the archive you already built. Some builds may still need manual sync or an explicit unlock step before recent changes appear elsewhere.
